Jane Denton is a textile artist based in Paraparaumu Beach, Kapiti. She has been creating unique, contemporary artworks for over twelve years, her pieces comprised of cotton or wool hand-stitched onto canvas. Her work ranges from bright and bold to soft and muted, her designs adhering to a clean, modern aesthetic that is guided by the interplay of colour and form.

“My work is all about texture, colour and design. Colour is so important to me... when a piece is right it ‘sings’ – there’s really no other way to describe it!”

Jane’s work has a strong following overseas, particularly in the U.S. and Canada, and her artworks are currently exhibiting in galleries in Aotearoa New Zealand.
