BIO
Robyn Fleet is a contemporary New Zealand artist based in Hawke’s Bay, known for her expressive oil paintings that explore identity, perception and the human experience. After spending 14 years living and working in Sydney and London, Robyn returned to New Zealand, where she continues to develop her distinctive artistic practice.
Holding a Bachelor of Art and Design, Robyn has exhibited in public galleries throughout New Zealand since 2013. Her work is characterised by richly layered surfaces, intuitive mark-making, and a strong connection to materiality. Working primarily with oil paint and oil sticks, she creates contemporary artworks that invite reflection and emotional engagement.
Drawing on both personal and universal themes, Robyn's paintings examine the complexities of human connection, memory, and self-awareness. Her tactile approach to painting celebrates the physical nature of the medium, resulting in original contemporary artworks that resonate with collectors of New Zealand art and contemporary painting alike.
