Rachel Rush is an Auckland based contemporary artist. Her practice encompasses two distinct collections; Rachel Rush Contemporary, and RUSH.
"I love the freedom of mixing up acrylics and stains with resin to create beautiful colours and depths within layers of work. There are no hard rules to follow and I love watching each piece take on its own vibrancy and energy."
"RUSH has evolved from my love of all the amazing street art from around the world - the alleyways of Melbourne, to the surviving slabs of the Berlin Wall, and the gritty streets of New York. I was inspired to capture the energy and feeling from the streets, and to put it up on canvas, creating each painting to become a piece of the bigger picture."
