About Tony Ogle

Tony Ogle is a New Zealand printmaker whose colourful screen prints capture the character and energy of Aotearoa’s coastal landscapes. His connection to the land and sea is grounded in coastal life, bringing a personal familiarity to the places he depicts.

With more than thirty years of printmaking experience, Ogle has developed a technically sophisticated process that explores wild beaches, windswept hills and the interplay between natural and human-made forms. Vivid colour gives these familiar landscapes a distinctive presence.

Having lived in different parts of New Zealand, including Auckland’s West Coast, Ogle now calls Wainui Beach home. Working from his studio in Gisborne, he continues to draw inspiration from the surrounding landscape.
