Judi Bagust

Judi Bagust’s ink-based works are a poetic exploration of ‘place,’ expressed through gestural abstraction. Drawing inspiration from the natural and cultural rhythms of Aotearoa, her fluid marks capture the dynamic interplay of movement, form, and meaning. Whether inspired by the soaring flight of a tui or the ever-changing Pacific Ocean, Judi’s work translates intangible experiences into compelling visual narratives.
James Watkins

James Watkins brings a rich, global perspective to the exhibition, shaped by his extensive travels and artistic endeavours across New Zealand, Australia, Europe, and Mexico. His mixed-media approach blends abstract forms and striking colors to evoke both the physical and emotional landscapes of his experiences.
Kirsten Lovelock

Wellington-based artist Kirsten Lovelock creates symbolist paintings that weave together personal narratives and metaphysical themes. Inspired by New Zealand’s landscapes and her biographical journeys, Kirsten’s works resonate with collectors through their intricate storytelling and rich, emotive layers.
Aida Smith

Aida Smith, a self-taught oil painter based in Wellington, bridges the landscapes of her two homes, the Northeastern United States and of course, New Zealand. Through her evocative works. Her artistic ethos is rooted in sustainability, as she employs solvent-free professional oils on linen or canvas to create pieces that are as environmentally mindful as they are visually captivating. Aida’s nostalgic landscapes invite viewers into a gentle exploration of light, memory, and emotion.
Leah Creaven

Leah Creaven is a textile artist who creates rug tufted artwork in her studio in Whangamata, New Zealand. Leah’s work is influenced by the land that surrounds her, as well as the urban and rural landscapes she inhabited while growing up in Galway and Dublin, Ireland. She plays with organic line and shape using non representative colour palettes that are often tied to feelings or emotions. The use of New Zealand wool is a conscious choice and plays a big part in contributing to this constant theme, helping to illustrate her connections and experiences with the land.
