Cans & Cameras  brings together two worlds that rarely sit side by side, photography and street art. Drawing on the familiar and more unexpected streets of New York and Melbourne, Rachel Rush captures the energy, character and visual language of these cities, then transforms it through layers of spray paint, stencil and intervention.

Photographic images become something more, reworked realities where architecture, people and fleeting moments are interrupted by colour, texture and unexpected details. There is a sense of aerosol elegance throughout, balanced with humour, wit and hidden messages that reveal themselves slowly.
