One of our most popular artists, Naomi Faifai, returns to Frame Gallery in Herne Bay this October with Traces, a much-anticipated Pocket Exhibition. Known for her highly sought-after works and distinctive visual language, Naomi brings a fresh perspective to the familiar, inviting us to look again at the objects, rituals and conversations that shape our days.
Traces explores what our everyday lives might reveal to someone looking back. Through repetition, pattern and marks inspired by those who came before her, Naomi finds meaning in the ordinary. We can’t wait to share this collection with you.
“I often wonder what the present would look like to someone else looking back. Drawing on the motifs and marks of the people who came before me, Traces explores the visual language of contemporary life. Coffee cups, phones, pets and conversations become symbols of the everyday. Through repetition and pattern, the ordinary takes on new meaning, asking what these things might reveal about who we are and how we live.”
