Majestical: A Solo Show by Rachel Rush | 21 October - 7 November 2022
Majestical brings together a vibrant body of paintings by Rachel Rush. A spring-inspired palette of soft pastels and joyful colour is layered with silver, gold and copper metallics, creating a lively interplay of colour, texture and light.
The collection includes twelve works, from small paintings to statement pieces. Rush pours or sprays metallic paint onto the canvas, layering it with joyful colour to create richly textured surfaces. Each piece is hand-tinted and poured through a slow process, with each colour curing for 24 hours before the next is applied. Some paintings take weeks to complete.
