Clare McGlynn

I believe we are all creative in some way or another.  My creativity has followed many paths over the years - from designing and making my children’s clothes (when they were young), to drawing, printmaking, painting and sculpting with clay.

I became captivated by glass casting at my very first introduction in 2014 while in the 2nd year of a BAA at NorthTec in Kerikeri. I love the endless possibilities that each stage of this challenging, sometimes frustrating but also very rewarding process offers.

In January 2020, after 40 years as a registered nurse, I retired so as to devote my time to my creative passion.  I work from my small home studio in Takou Bay, Northland overlooking the beautiful Cavalli Islands.
